Good Wednesday Morning! Guess what?! God has you! Whatever you’re worried about, whatever is concerning you, whatever problem is on your heart—stop carrying it, and cast it on Him. It’s His. You’re His. What you worry about is merely distracting your heart from enjoying Him and from enjoying “being His.” He’s a good Father—a perfect, loving, gracious, generous Father—and He’s going to get you through it. One way or another, this has a happy ending!
Probably much like you, my day yesterday was a steady flow of heavy news—one potential discouragement after another. Those problems tend to make us toss and turn all night—rather than resting well. Then they are on our minds when we wake up, which sets the whole context of our day, our relationships, our interactions, and our hearts.
What’s the cure? What’s the answer? The answer is biblical thinking. God uses the word “remember” or “forget not.”
Isaiah 46:9 “9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,”
Psalms 103:2 “2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”
You see, trouble tends to over take us. It gets into our heads and crowds out the TRUTH that hold us together. So quickly, we find ourselves led, not by truth or fact, but by fear and worry. Emotions have jumped into the driver’s seat. And God says, in those moments, remember. Stop and think about it. Grab the reigns of life back from the hands of emotions. Recall to mind the TRUTH that makes us free.
God’s GOT THIS! Put it back in His hands. Rest in His care. Say it out-loud— “God this is your problem now, not mine… I’m gonna go back to enjoying my day!”
1 Peter 5:7 “7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Thanks for letting me speak into your heart for a moment! I love you, and I’m praying for you. I hope you will join us tonight for a great time of Bible Study at 7pm. Thank you for being an AWESOME church family!
PS—Please be in prayer for Sunday, with the baby dedication, we will welcome many unsaved guests. Also, please be praying with me for a miracle provision from God for our “All My Heart Offering” on March 22nd! Ask God to SURPRISE you with what He enables you to do! (AND PRAY FOR NO SNOW SUNDAY!) 🙂
