Last year over 300 ladies met from all over New England to fellowship and grow in God’s Word together. Each main session and specialty workshop will bless and edify the ladies of your church. Teens also enjoy workshops just for them! (The Christian Ladies’ Seminar is open to all ladies starting at age thirteen.)
The History of This Seminar
In the late 1970s, a group of five ladies had a vision to hold a seminar that would edify the ladies of Emmanuel Baptist Church and their guests. The first annual Christian Ladies’ Seminar of Emmanuel Baptist Church was held in 1981 with 300 ladies in attendance. Since that time, several thousand ladies from eleven states have been blessed and edified by godly women and biblical teaching at this annual event.
In addition to her primary roles as wife and mother, Mrs. Francie Taylor is a ladies’ conference teacher and author from First Baptist Church of Rosemount, Minnesota. She and her husband Norman have launched a website for Christian women called “Keep the Heart”. The Taylors have been married since 1982 and have three young adult children; Austen, Hillary and Collin.
Thirty-seven years ago, the Lord led Tom and Ginny Crichton to plant a church in New England, the Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple. Ginny has been blessed to serve the Lord in many areas of the ministry. After several years of seeking the Lord’s direction for their future in September of 2012 the Crichtons transitioned from their church in Rhode Island to travel as the Lord opened doors to speak and teach His Word. Their five married children and twenty-three grandchildren add to the joy of their life.
Stacie and her husband, Pastor Tim Zacharias, have been married for 22 years. A transplanted Southerner, she has grown to love New England. She is the mom of four children, two adopted and two biological. Stacie and her husband moved to Branford, Connecticut in 1999 and planted Community Baptist Church. Stacie has worked alongside her husband throughout their marriage and ministry in many areas. In addition to her many duties as a pastor’s wife, she also homeschools her children.
Born to saved parents, Tabitha was privileged to hear the gospel and receive it at a young age during a church children’s program. Tabitha has always loved being a part of children’s ministries, and for the last 7 years has enjoyed teaching the teen girls’ class at New Hope Baptist Church in Harwinton, Connecticut where she and her husband Greg attend. She also enjoys being involved in the nursing home and music ministries of their church.
